This 2year old racehorse fractured her left hind pedal bone, most probably from kicking the wall of her box. The vet advised for her to be put on box rest and to aid her recovery he asked Gavin to fit a heart bar shoe to help stabilise the hoof capsule and supply frog pressure to stimulate blood flow to the foot. Since the initial fracture occurred she has routinely had the foot trimmed and rebalanced and the bar shoe fitted again. She now is pain free and able to continue her rehabilitation programme walking and trotting.
