A horse dragging its hind feet as it moves either in walk or trotting can have a very detrimental effect on the toe of the hoof capsule. These issues are usually associated with fatigue and conformation. An effective technique for assisting in the prevention of further wear on the dorsal hoof wall is to forge and fit a type of shoe we call a Set Toe shoe.
